Ornamenting the State Route 174 is the Peardale community of the Nevada County. It is located to the southeast of Cedar Ridge and northwest of Chicago Park and is elevated at a level of 2710 feet above sea level. Amongst all the settlements of the county, Peardale is one that is gifted with lavish lush vegetation in its surroundings. The thick upland, riparian and mixed conifer forests are a treat to the eyes in the mild summers and a feast during the snow clad winters. While at Peardale, apart from the usual picnicking activities, the Peardale Bird Sanctuary is a must visit; a wide assortment of colorful and varied species of birds can be viewed here!
