Festooned on the west bank of the Russian River and located just 13 miles south-southeast of Ukiah is the tiny but interesting Hopland town. The community and the people are energetic and its downtown is some real fun. It is interesting to note how this little community has squeezed into the petite metropolitan area. The town welcomes you with its exceptional shops, galleries, the Victorian homes and inns and of course the pioneer in post-prohibition beverage pub of California! The natives out here are exceptionally sociable and it shouldn’t surprise you if they sit down to have a lengthy chat with you! Shopping in Hopland is enjoyable and the wine-tasting at the numerous wineries in the town is really something you could look forward to. If you thrive for something even more interesting, visit the non-profit Solar Living Center. Cuisines served at the various restaurants and cafes are mind-blowing!
