Hood, California is a quiet little town of just about 260 people and is nestled along the river Sacramento. Fields and open landscapes add a scenic beauty to the town and is a great place to spend the vacations. The open lands invite many activities such as picnics, fishing by the river, a sun bath, kites flying, cycling or just normal games to appease the mind. It serves as some sought of dreamy village type outset which makes the mind wander off into dreamlands as you lie down on the river banks. The weather is usually bright and beautiful, sometimes windy and sometimes just pleasant. It is certainly the type of village where one knows the other and stay like a huge family!
