Located on the Andrus Island and amidst the marshy wetlands of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta is the city of Isleton. The city is beautiful with its well preserved era storefronts along the main streets and some of these even portray a dint of Chinese influences. It is certainly a city of agriculture, rivers, fishing, boating and a lavish history. The Isleton’s Old Town is remarkable with its ‘bygone days ambience’. It was once referred to as ‘the little Paris of the Delta’ and boasts of its craftsmen, antiques and art, restaurants and museums. The community is also very vibrant and active. The Crawdad Festival is very popular and is held every year on Father’s Day with great pomp and show. It surely is fun to be around the city during the festival.
