A little town in the county of El Dorado, Camino was earlier popular as the Seven Mile House. Surrounded by cities such as Placerville, Pollock Pines, El Dorado, Diamond Springs, Somerset, Grizzly Flats, Garden Valley, Cameron Park, Coloma, Lotus and Shingle Springs, this petite but snow-clad town of Camino is positioned at an elevation of 3133 feet. It serves to be a perfect summer or winter spot for the weather here is pleasant throughout; it receives snow many times a year, so checking out the snowing period and then deciding on the travel plans would be ideal. Camino is also a recognized region in the fall for apples; in fact it is often wrongly flawed as the Apple Hill! This spot can be reached very easily; it lies almost half-way between South Lake Tahoe and Sacramento. If you are looking at a holiday spot with family or friends, Camino would be just perfect!
