Cuddled away 4 miles from Placerville is a small community of El Dorado. This one is different from the El Dorado Hills; El Dorado is rather an unincorporated community in the El Dorado county and is located at an elevation of 1608 feet. While visiting, one would come across several of its history ruins; it was first known mud springs in the region! The weather is pleasant throughout the year and the town is worth visiting. Stopping by the town for a delicious gourmet can be enticing within the rustic walls of the town restaurants. It in fact stands apart from the other bucolic towns in the county!
