Nestled in the northwest corner of Solano County is its waterside Solano County city Benicia. The town is segregated into four divisions i.e. east side, west side, Southampton and Industrial Park. The older homes can be observed on the east and west sides of the city while Southampton is a home to generally the single family housing developments. The industrial park that lies to the northeast of the residential areas includes the Valero oil refinery. The Benicia State Recreation Area is well developed and you could enjoy shopping on the First Street, which in turn attracts the out-of-town antique as well as boutique shoppers. The Arts Benicia, the Torch Parade & Dance, Benicia Peddler’s Fair, the Holy Ghost Parade are local festivities celebrated wi th great pomp and show.
