The northeast of California boasts of yet another green community belonging to the Sacramento County and that is the town of Carmichael. There are a number of schools, elementary, junior as well as high schools only in Carmichael along with the innumerous number of parks. Recreation includes parks and gardens such as Carmichael Park, Jensen Botanical Garden, Chautauqua Playhouse, Ancil Hoffman Park, American River Parkway and the American River Bike Trail. The American River Bike Trail is a famous multi-use recreational facility and bicycle commuters. The Ancil Hoffman Park also includes the huge golf course which is also a part of the park, spotting a number of animals such as wild turkey, coyotes, deer and hawks. On the other hand, the Botanical Garden has got to offer many unique varieties of species of flora. A soothing place to the eyes.
