Nestled about 40 miles from Sacramento is an amazing town of Cool; it was formerly recognized as Cave Valley. Elevated at a height of 1532 feet, this place is full of adventure activities such as hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, gold panning, kayaking, swimming and of course several historical tours and sighting. Bearing a pretty lavish past, Cool offers entertainment in form of its Gold Discovery Museum, the Gold Discovery Park Association, the Olde Coloma Theatre and of course the Marshall Gold Discovery  State Historic Park. Shopping is yet another favorite pastime here; a lot of antique shops thrive in Cool. You could also pick a lot of traditional and fresh olive oils from here!
