Nestled in the east-northeast of Danville is a small town of Diablo. It is more popularly renowned as Mount Diablo. It is an isolated upthrust peak, now enclosing the Mount Diablo State Park that in turn includes 38 preserves, regional parks and watersheds and much more. The picturesque of the Mt. Diablo stands as the ultimate backdrop for the cities of San Francisco, Danville and other suburbs. The summit is easily reachable by motor vehicle or bicycle or even by foot. Biking, hiking, camping, and many more activities are encouraged in the pleasant climates of Diablo.
