Positioned in the north western Contra Costa County is a Spanish-named town of El Sobrante which in English translates as ‘surplus’ or ‘leftover’. The Kennedy Grove Regional Recreational Park is very alluring along with the White Water Voyages that offers white-water rafting experiences. The Capri Club endorses good native bars while the Harry Best and Shabang portray the musical performances. The El Sobrante is a budding home to a large Sikh population; the Gurudwara Sahib of the El Sobrante is noted for its large golden dome.
