There is one place in the Sacramento County of California that serves a mélange of the suburban and semi-rural neighborhoods and that is the town of Fair Oaks. Bounded in the south by the American River and Rancho Cordova, the Citrus Heights in the north, Carmichael in the west and Orangevale in the east, Fair Oaks is truly worth a visit. Its town center is popularly known as the Fair Oaks Village and it is here that the Plaza Park Amphitheatre is located. The Fair Oaks Theatre Festival takes place here with great pomp and show. The town center is also a home to the famous Spring Fest which is vibrantly celebrated on the first Saturday and Sunday of May. What is also more interesting is the Annual Fair Oaks Chicken Festival on the third Saturdays of September and the Annual Dog Walk on the first Saturday of October. It certainly is the vibrant part of Sacramento County!
