The town found its name from the history of Missouri people who were known for ‘fiddling’ while waiting for the rains. You just need to move approx 6 miles to east of Highway 49 at Plymouth to locate this beautiful place in the lap of nature. And, what can be better if we get to see the largest Chinese settlement in California that Fiddletown posses! The other places that we recommend to the visitors would be:
Chew Kee Store: A herb shop, traced out of the old Chinese Communities in Fiddletown, and was established during the Gold Rush.
Rock Hound Saloon: A specialty Shop, one of the most popular and recommended for the on-comers.
Also, take a walking tour to the splendid historic culture across the city and realize the essence of the rich heritage lying in there.
