Nestled away about 4 miles west of Georgetown is the town of Greenwood, which one would formerly recognize as the Green Valley or the Long Valley! Though this town is too a part of the El Dorado County, it majorly forms a part of the Sacramento-Arden-Arcade metropolitan area. A serene place, Greenwood is abundant with stories of its past and ruins that it still bears. One can enjoy roaming around the town, enjoying each of its pastoral charm and then grab a bite in one of the local restaurants to have a feel of the authentic El Dorado cuisine.
