An exclusive well developed coastal city of San Mateo County is the Half Moon Bay, located just 25 miles south of San Francisco. Been popular as San Benito and Spanishtown, Half Moon Bay encloses several local industries such as agriculture, fishing and tourism. In the city, a popular spot is the ‘Jetty’ or ‘The Breakwater’ which is a man-made break with extraordinary waves shaped by the reflections of the breakwater at Pillar Point Harbor. The best part of the city is its weather; yearlong Half Moon Bay has a mild climate and hot weather is very rare. Local attractions include the Art and Pumpkin Festival conducted in the downtown in Octobers. Cameron’s Pub Restaurant, the remnants of the Purissima village and the Half Moon Bay Golf Links are other noted places of visit. Being a coastal town, it is advantageous to enjoy all the beach activities to the heart’s content.
