A rural yet well maintained community of the Sacramento County, Herald is located to the east of the Galt City and is regulated by the Herald Area Civic Association. The association takes up every single concern of the community and strives towards the further upliftment of the community for its own well being and is also being supported by a large number of members. The community does give one a feeling of a small rural but planned village with beautiful landscaping and wondrous sights. Attractions include museums, historic sites, the Herald area parks and the wineries near the community. Parks and ski areas nearby are easily accessible from Herald, thus rendering a pleasant stay in the community.
