Lagunitas is a an unincorporated area in Marin County, California which has melded with Forest Knolls for census purposes. It is situated at an altitude of 217 feet southwest of Novato. If you enjoy hiking and trekking , then Lagunitas offers you an excellent hiking trail along the Lagunitas creek which continues up a hill and finally through the dense jungles in Devil’s Glutch. The Samuel P. Taylor State Park offers great camping opportunities in a picturesque location under redwoods. It is also an excellent launching point for excursions to Point Reyes National Seashore. There are also a number of famous wineries around Lagunitas.
