Nestled in the easternmost part of the bay area is the city of Livermore. It has a typical Mediterranean type climate and has several vineyards to its credit. The city also boats of attractions like Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Valley Concert Chorale, Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore-Amador Symphony, and Livermore Valley Opera. This scenic town is also renowned for its century old light bulb which has held records for burning continuously since 1901.
