Just west of San Franciscan Bay with Burlingame in the south and San Bruno in the north is the city of Millbrae, San Mateo County. Enjoying a typical Mediterranean climate i.e. cool wet winters and dry mild summers, Millbrae features a wetland area in the eastern part of the city. Owing to its close proximity to the San Franciscan International Airports, one can find many good hotels and its transit center connects people to all the major cities in the Bay Area. The downtown is extremely lively and vibrant, mainly along the El Camino Real and the Broadway Avenue. One can find several shops, restaurants, Walgreens, the Children’s place, a Safeway, the Dress Barn, the Kohl’s and the Orchard Supply Hardware. The view of San Mateo from the city height of Millbrae is truly panoramic.
