California’s Diablo Range takes pride in one of its highest mountain that overlooks the Silicon Valley and that is none other than Mount Hamilton. The original site of the Lick Observatory, Mount Hamilton is the nesting home to a number of golden Eagles. The Mount Hamilton Road is a popular path amongst cyclists and bicyclists. The fondness to this road is enhanced because of its scenic beauty of Santa Clara and the spectacular view of San Jose. Trekking and hiking are popular sports here. But apart from all this, the Lick Observatory catches the attention of the eye. It is in fact the first permanently occupied mountain-top observatory and undertakes major UCO functions. The scenic views are awe-inspiring and a must visit, at least for a few hours!
