North Bloomfield is yet another wonderful town in the Nevada County and is located just 10 miles northeast of the grand Nevada City. Characteristically a ghost town by nature, the present day North Bloomfield town is contained within the borders of the Malakoff Diggins State Historic Park. While exploring the town, you would come across some of the original buildings of the town that are reconstructed and polished and these include the Skidmore House, E Campus Vitus Building, McKillicam & Mobley General Store as well as the St. Columncille’s Catholic Church. The town’s rustic charisma takes the mind off into a different world and makes one feel ‘one’ with nature! A must visit of the Nevada County!
