The Marin County boasts of it’s yet another unincorporated community of Olema which is located on the Olema Creek. Federally speaking, Olema is in California’s sixth congressional district. The town has a couple of shops, two popular restaurants, a well-maintained lodge and many bed and breakfasts. The Olema Inn and Restaurant and the Farm House Restaurant & Bar are the popular eat-outs and lodging options. Very nearby to Olema are a huge campground and a large retreat for the Vedanta society (a famous branch of H induism). Just about a quarter mile from Olema is the Bear Valley Visitor Center which carries some great exhibits and books for sale.
