Just about 25 miles south of San Francisco is the upscale city of Redwood City. Bearing a culturally rich history, it plays as the county seat of San Mateo County. It is in fact a home to several technological companies. The city is bordered with several wooded hills and open spaces and that gives the perfect picture of a thriving city of the modern times. The Redwood City also encloses the Redwood Shores though one needs to travel through San Carlos to reach there. While the city mainly represents the middle class citizens, the eastern segment of Redwood City quite resembles the North Fair Oaks and East Alto Palo. The climate of the city is moderately pleasant; December is though the best time to visit the city. To have some great fun, the downtown is the ultimate with several theatre complexes and retail stores, all colorful and bright.
