The coastal area of Santa Cruz Mountains border a rural community, the Redwood Estates. Elevated at a height of 1624 feet and located just 8 miles from the Los Gatos downtown, Redwood Estates is a home to number of architectural structures. It belongs to the Santa Clara County and it’s a well structured city. Quite naturally, just as the name, Redwood Estates is crowded by the tall-standing redwood trees omnipresent to the rare fog cloaked areas of California. The area gets into the limelight during the winters when, though it does not snow, the climate gets calm and enticing. Noted neighborhood communities include Chemeketa Park, Zayante and Aldercroft Heights along with an abandoned Moody Gulch oil field.
