Snuggled in the south east of Monterey County and just about 18 miles southeast of King City is the city of San Ardo. You could locate it just near the point where the huge Salinas Valley ends its southern end and points out within the converging portions of the Californian Coastal Ranges, including the Cholame Hills and Diablo Range to the east and the Santa Lucia Mountains to the west. The sector that you must look out for here in San Ardo is its huge San Ardo Oil Field which is just five miles south of the town.
