Just about 30 miles south of San Jose downtown and 6 miles north of the Monterey Bay is the small town of Scotts Valley snuggled on the upland slope of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The town has remained a center of attraction for many tourists all these years. For instance, the Beverly Gardens feature a wide collection of exotic birds and animals, cabins and restaurants. The Gilroy Gardens are spectacular with the amazing trees. Scotts Valley has also attracted several tourists for its Santa’s Village. The valley is also near the Big Basin Redwood State Park, the Roaring Camp Railroads and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park. The town is encircled by the coast redwood forests and one can find a relative number of skate parks here as well. It is quite an attractive place to stay near Santa Cruz!
