The community of Valley Ford is identified to be a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community. It lies in the western part of the County of Sonoma, California. It is in the area of rolling hills on State Route 1. Valley Ford is part of both Redwood Empire and San Francisco Bay Area. Like most of its neighboring towns in the coastal area of California in this part, the first settlers here are Pomo people and Coast Miwok.
Valley Ford Hotel is one of the interesting places in this town and one of the few buildings from the 19th century. The small town of Valley Ford is home to West County Design, Valley Ford Construction Corporation, Shubb and Carolyn’s Canvas. The Valley Ford is a great place to find the regionally famous Batemon’s Meats
